Many of the honey bee friendly flowers I’ve photographed this year grow in or around our new beeyard, including this daisy-like flower:
It’s a member of the Aster genus of plants.
I’m not sure exactly what species grows in my beeyard, so we’ll just go with Aster for now.
The Canadian Wildlife Federation provides some good information on Asters.
They range in colour from white to pink to blue. I’m pretty sure most people look at them, especially the white ones, and say, “Yup, that’s a daisy.”
